Responsibilities:An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join a progressive diverse team in an organisation with ambition to deliver high quality care. This is a permanent position offering the post holder an opportunity to be the Head of Safeguarding for Locala Health and Wellbeing and will work within the Quality Directorate, reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Nursing, Allied Health Professional and Professional Practice.
The primary purpose of this role is to be an organisational wide strategic lead on behalf of the Chief Nurse, Director of Quality and Professional Practice to ensure that the organisation meets its obligations under the Children Act 2004, Mental Capacity Act, 2005 and Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation and guidance in order to ensure that Locala provides safe, effective and well led services, in line with our values and safeguarding people at risk.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of working within the safeguarding arena and will be able to demonstrate an extensive understanding of the statutory requirements for safeguarding and be committed to protecting the most vulnerable and at-risk members of society.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the highest standards of care and patient experience, and have the ability to lead improvement and innovation. You will have experience of leading and developing highly effective teams in a multi-faceted environment.
The post holder will also demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the health, voluntary and social care sectors.
