Protective Security (PS) has responsibility for managing physical risk arising from several different sources which are primarily criminal in nature or intent – armed robbers, opportunist thieves, organised gangs, terrorists, social or political activists, vandals etc. Additionally, Protective Security manages activities which fall outside this including, but not limited to, executive/close protection, event security, traveller security, personal and property risk assessments, kidnap and ransom.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Head of Protective Security, CIIOM.
In this role, you will:
- Work in close conjunction with the local control owner and risk owner to ensure the effective management of all Protective Security controls
- Ensure controls operate in line with established procedures and standards in accordance with local law and regulations
- Ensure the timely completion of all Physical Security Risk Assessments and Security Site Inspections, tracking all remediation findings through to completion
- Ensure all incidents and threats are monitored and tracked to completion;
- Maintain relationships with police, security services, other law enforcement agencies and industry bodies to enable an effective overview of current and/or future threats
- Manage third party relationships with security vendors
- Manage the PS CAPEX projects and refresh programmes
- Participate fully, where required, in local risk and control forums and working groups
- Develop staff security awareness material & training programmes
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in risk or control management
- Crisis management experience;
- Good knowledge of Head Office & retail branch working practices;
- Experience in managing third party service providers;
- Strong presentation skills with experience in delivering training material;
- Good knowledge of the core Protective Security disciplines
- An understanding of law enforcement techniques and procedures
- Ability to make decisions including when under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to balance multiple competing demands to find the best solutions
The base location for this role is Jersey Channel Islands.
