Position:
As Head of Project Management Office, you will be responsible for the design, setup and ongoing management of Marlborough Project Management Office (PMO). The purpose of this is to ensure that we have effective and robust project delivery across Marlborough,
strengthening our impact across the Group.
Through the development of our 2022 Strategy, Marlborough has made a significant commitment to changing the way we work so that we can increase our sustainability, impact and continue to move closer to achieving our mission. In this role, you will lead the establishment of a central Project Management function, supporting the organisation to deliver our strategic ambitions.
You will line manage a small pool of project managers, Coordinators and Administrators overseeing their deployment to manage our largest and most complex projects. You will be responsible for resource planning and providing ongoing support and escalation for the project managers, as well as maintaining oversight of live projects and reporting on performance to senior stakeholders.
You will be accountable for the continuous improvement and embedding of Marlborough’s Project Management model (3-DR). As a key focus in the role, you will be responsible for building strong project management capabilities across teams, working with the Change Management, Developers, Business Analysis, Efficiency teams, HR, Learning & Development to identify gaps in capacity and capability.
The PMO is situated within Marlborough Organisational Business Transformation team, which is accountable for mobilising change across our work to achieve our strategic ambitions. As Head of Project Management Office, you will work closely with the wider businesses based in the UK, Ireland and Guernsey.
Requirements:
Essential Skills:

Essential Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs Grade A-C (must include Maths and English)
Beneficial qualifications:
- IOC qualification, or willingness to study towards it
- Completed or working towards professional qualifications in project management
Essential Experience:
- At least 5 years project management experience
- At least 1 year supervisory of a Project Management office
Beneficial Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
