Summary:
We are looking for a Head of Programmes to join our dynamic and growing team. You will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of complex and strategic projects and programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will also help establish and oversee a Project Management Office (PMO) to provide governance, support and guidance to project and programme managers across the organisation. In addition, you will play a key role in bid management, developing and submitting proposals for new projects and programmes in line with our strategic objectives and client requirements.
As a Head of Programmes, you will:
- Ensure schedule and technical adherence of client delivery, product roadmap and other company projects
- Develop and implement a project and programme management framework, including policies, processes, tools and templates
- Establish and run a PMO to monitor and report on the progress, performance and risks of all projects and programmes
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations, contractual obligations and quality standards
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, partners, clients and other stakeholders
To be successful as a Head of Programmes, you will have:
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience in project and programme management, preferably in the development or humanitarian sector
- Proven track record of delivering complex and large-scale projects and programmes
- Strong knowledge and skills in project and programme management methodologies, tools and best practices
- Experience in establishing and managing a PMO
- Experience in bid management, proposal writing and donor relations
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing contexts
