Title Head of Product Management
Reporting to Global Sales & Marketing Director
Location Home based with global travel required
Woods Air Movement specialises in the design, test, certification and manufacture of axial fans for a wide range of industrial, life applications.

MainPurposeofRole:
The Head of Product Management reports to the Global Sales & Marketing Director and is responsible & accountable for globally leading and managing the Product Management Strategy that is aligned to the WAM Full Potential Plan (FPP).
In this role and with a can do attitude, you and your team are accountable for business plans achievements in alignment with Sales, Marketing and R&D objectives to meet company's financials sales & profitability objectives as set out in the top level Goal Deployment Plan (GDP).
Through your team you will manage the product portfolio and be accountable for product strategy inline with the Engineering/Technology plan. Through your team you will initiate New Product Introduction for both internally designed and factored products ensuring that the commercial justification is robust. The released product lines will be managed with the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) process by 5P's (Positioning, Performances, Price, Places and Profitability) with the strategic objective to position FlaktGroup as a leading company in Air Movement solutions with company Global Growth Strategy in focus.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage the WAM Product Management resources ensuring we maximise its ROI on the business.
- Oversight of digital platform & tools including selection tools, social platforms and webpage.
- Proactively engage & network with the senior leadership team (incl x-functionally with Flaktgroup) communicating new product & marketing opportunities.
- Working closely with Sales & Engineering to ensure effective management of the product lifecycle. Build and maintain 3yr product roadmap (including factored products) that supports our FPP aspirations.
- Research & Develop marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends and suggesting system improvements to achieve the Woods strategy.
- Lead the gathering, investigating and summarising market data for trends reports and informed decision making.
- Build business cases for investment
- Organising promotional events such as trade shows, product launch webinars and fan academy.
- Ensure WAM products remain compliant to Erp regulation and certifications within UK, EEA & ROW.
- Management of Trade marks and reporting into Group.
- Act as ambassador for the business conveying WAM policies & procedures to ensure an aligned business promoting equal opportunities.
- Train, develop and mentor your team to achieve their potential. Hold quarterly PDR views to review performance against objectives.
Key Performance Measurements:
- Delivery against GDP targets & PDR objectives
- Implementation of product Roadmap & product launches.
- Revenue and profitability growth.

Technical Skills & Industry Knowledge
Experience of data management & reporting tools. The ability to define reports, interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
The ability to understand and interpret highly technical information for a wider audience.
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills
Understanding of value proposition sales tools and techniques
Building Services / Ventilation Industry experience.
Understanding of manufacturing and product development

Experience
5+ years experience in a commercial role (ideally product management)
Experience of building collaborative relationships with customers and/or strategic partners
Experience within a manufacturing organisation
Experience within technical / engineering organisations
Experience of working in a multinational environment
Leadership & People Management
Solid evidence of leadership skills within cross functional teams
The ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholder groups (commercial, technical, internal, external)
Has experience of breaking down silos
Qualifications
Degree qualified (HND or University Degree) or comparable experience.
Technical background (education / hands on)
