Role (Your) Purpose
As Head of PMO you will be responsible for the enablement and delivery of project and programme execution in the Milk & More business, where your focus will be to deliver new capabilities to our B2C e-commerce platforms as part of our digital transformation programme.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Management
- Accountable for the functional management of the outsourced PMO service.
- Managing the PMO resources and providing performance feedback and goal setting.
- Managing and monitoring the progress of project managers and providing feedback to help them stay on track.
- Ensuring that project goals are met aligned to Milk and More’s objectives and strategies.
- Ensuring appropriate project financial controls are in place and fully aligned with the finance team.
- Facilitating and executing annual and quarterly portfolio planning.
Communication
- Developing and delivering a robust communication strategy for transparent reporting of the project portfolio.
- Establishing clear lines of communication and collaboration between the PMO and the wider business, ensuring all parties are aware of progress, challenges, and changes.
- Regularly compiling and presenting accurate status reports of the project portfolio to the executive team.
Governance & Change management
- Managing projects using Milk and More’s project governance framework, supported by our group’s portfolio management platform (e.g. Clarity).
- Ensuring compliance with Milk and More and the wider Muller group’s processes and governance.
- Highlighting and reporting project change, governed by our gated process.
- Promotion, publication and appropriate training of our governance framework.
- Auditing projects and maintaining lists of outstanding actions.
Experience & Background
- Experience in the B2C and DTC e-commerce industries.
- Proven understanding of project governance, risk, and planning.
- Proven track record in PMO management on large and complex projects.
- A thorough understanding of the project management life cycle.
- Experience in a range of delivery life cycles – waterfall, iterative, agile, hybrid.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Certified in an industry standard project management methodology – e.g. PRINCE2.

- Able to confidently present to senior stakeholders, engage with internal customers at all levels, and drive service delivery partners.
- Able to build and manage relationships across a wide span of functions and business units.
- Able to effectively manage risks and inter-dependencies over an extended period, promoting and managing appropriate.
- Proactive facilitator with ability to foster team building and cross-functional collaboration.
