We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our People team as the Head of Organisational Effectiveness.
In this role, you will be accountable for defining British Airways' global strategies for talent, performance, future workforce planning, and organisational development and design. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the creation and maintenance of a high-performing and inclusive culture throughout the organisation. By aligning initiatives, processes, and structures with our strategic imperatives, values, and behaviours, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future success of British Airways.
As the Head of Organisational Effectiveness, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our organisation. You will have direct leadership responsibility for a team of approximately six talented individuals, guiding and inspiring them to achieve exceptional results. Additionally, you will be entrusted with budget accountability of approximately £1 million per annum, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support our strategic initiatives. Your strategic leadership will extend to talent management, performance enhancement, future workforce planning, and organisational development on a global scale, impacting the lives of approximately 35,000 employees. With this influential position, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction and effectiveness of our workforce, fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture throughout the organisation.
Duties will include –
- Acting as our subject matter expert for organisational development, design and change. Providing senior-level guidance and expertise across all aspects of British Airways.
- Collaborating closely with the Head of HR Business Partnering and Head of Inclusion & Diversity to ensure the seamless delivery of programmes and processes, fostering two-way communication, and driving continuous improvement.
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of subject matter experts specialising in talent management, performance enhancement, future workforce planning, and organisational development. Enable them to deliver on our A Better BA commitments, thus elevating our organisation.
- Working closely with senior leaders to anticipate future organisational requirements through strategic workforce planning. Develop effective strategies that address both internal and external influences, positioning British Airways for long-term success.
- Ensuring the meticulous measurement, tracking, and reporting of all strategies, programmes, and initiatives. Ensuring there is rigour and consistency in our performance and talent system.
- Utilising data-driven approaches in collaboration with analytics to generate actionable insights and recommendations for continual improvement.
