The Group Marketing Department is a shared services function supporting all Cox Automotive Europe solution areas and product brands.

Scope of the Role:

A role for a highly creative, and analytic leader, working at Senior Management level within group Marketing, as Head of Marketing. The role can be based in the UK or Germany and will include direct reports based throughout the UK and Continental Europe.

An exciting opportunity to shape and drive the marketing strategy and GTM transformation of our retail and remarketing products in Europe. Working across a broad spectrum of channels and multifaceted projects, implementing integrated marketing and communications strategies.

This is a networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines, working closely in a business partner capacity for key senior stakeholders within the business, including the European Leadership Team (ELT) and Sales teams.


Objectives for Role:

  • Contribute to the medium-term strategic vision of our corporate brand
  • Lead the GTM strategy for all new and existing products and propositions, aligned with the retail and remarketing product roadmaps
  • Must be able to adopt a digital first approach and analyse performance accordingly
  • Marketing business partner for senior stakeholders
  • Lead, motivate and coach a remote marketing team comprised of direct and indirect reports
  • Working extremely closely and collaboratively with other marketing leads, including our inhouse digital, creative services, communications, and content teams
  • Accountable for the continuous effectiveness of all marketing activity - capturing, analysing, and developing recommendations based upon robust ROI metrics
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality control across all Marketing materials
  • You must be able to travel regularly throughout Europe

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Minimum, degree level education (Business or Marketing) with a minimum of 5 years marketing experience
  • You will have extensive experience across a broad range of Marketing channels and proven track record of lead generation, brand building and content marketing, plus fluent in digital marketing
  • You will be a self-starter who brings individual skill, creativity and tenacity coupled with a personality that aligns to the Cox Automotive values and culture
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with understanding of brand and customer research to develop actionable insights
  • Exceptional writing skills and presentation skills
