Head of IT
Head of IT required to lead this high growth North West based business’ digital transformation to ensure that technology and data are at the heart of their growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, and working as part of the senior leadership team, the Head of IT will be accountable for the strategic direction of technology within this organisation. Within this role there is a real requirement to build scalable platforms & processes and contribute to the shaping of the operating model, creating the future for this business.
As the Head of IT, you will provide effective leadership to the technology team, oversee the delivery of programmes, develop & deliver a technology strategy that drives innovation allowing the business to become more effective.
There will be the need to build a team that delivers transformation programmes to support the organisations commercial objectives and have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of large and complex critical IT programmes.
As the Head of IT, you will work with business stakeholders to ensure that the data strategy is developed and delivered.
Managing the Opex & Capex budget is part of this role, as will the managing of commercial relationships with suppliers ensuring their performance meets requirements.
The current technology team comprises of; programme delivery, ops, service delivery and architecture and you will be expected to recruit, develop, upskill and create succession planning within the technology team.
Whilst reporting to the CEO you will also operate in an advisory capacity to them, ensuring they understand the state of technology within the business.
The role requires someone who has strong leadership skills, is solution orientated and can be decisive.

- Proven experience in an IT Leadership role
- A track record in designing and delivering a technology strategy
- Created and overseen the delivery of transformational programmes of work.
- Strong understanding of digital / online channels
- Knowledge of working to create a data strategy or solution
- Building high performing technology teams.
- Supplier management
- Budget management
- Understanding of tech-led or tech-centred business models
- Problem solving, framing the challenge and solution implementation
