Job Description Summary
The Islands is a key part of the Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets and Corporate & Institutional Banking business operating primarily across Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man. As an Inspirational and empowering Senior Leader, you will have the opportunity to lead our International Private Banking business. You will hold responsibility of shaping, driving and embedding further growth across the Islands by providing leadership, direction and support to a growing team of Relationship Managers and Specialists. In doing so, you will be collaborating with colleagues in the Mass Affluent team and across the Lloyds Banking Group to design and deliver a proposition that address International Private Banking customers’ spectrum of Banking needs. These propositions and experiences will be aligned and integrated with the wider Mass Affluent Proposition strategy. Consequently, you will both, own the strategy and roadmap for the Mass Affluent Banking propositions and influence the evolution of the wider Mass Affluent proposition strategy.
Reporting to The Islands Country Director you need substantial market experience and industry knowledge primarily across a broad range of international private banking segments, ranging from Retail Business Banking and SME, and understanding of the Large Corporate Markets segments being particularly desirable. Experience of or an ability to lead a multi segment business to achieve an acceptable level of profit, risk and return in line with agreed business plans is desired. The role will require regular travel or to be based in one of the primary Islands, Jersey, Guernsey or Isle of Man
Job Description
  • Manage relationships with customers and act as a role model to relationship managers to support development and growth of the International Private Banking business (multi segments) in the islands to customer ensure satisfaction.
  • Takes responsibility for implementing the Expats customer needs strategy for Islands business.
  • Lead across all segments the development of the LBG brand relationships with Expats introducers and Intermediaries to maximise Business development opportunities in our communities.
  • Leads and advise a Private Banking relationship management and customer service function/department, planning and delivering the work of the area to meet objectives and service standards and setting strategic direction within the organisation's framework.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
Essential
  • Deep knowledge and experience of the UK Banking products and services, including Current Accounts, Savings, Mortgages and Lending relevant for Private Banking customers
  • Conversant with economics, commercial and regulatory parameters and governance frameworks associated with manufacturing and distribution of Banking products and services.
  • Proven track record of developing customer value propositions and conversant with associated capabilities such as customer insight generation, competitor analyses, segmentation, pricing etc.
  • Strong influencer and ability to collaborate with and manage a wide group of stakeholders
  • Ability to think conceptually as well develop detailed plans to bring proposition concepts to life
  • A visible leader with a track record of creating an inclusive environment and managing high performing teams
  • Candidate will have coverage and sector experience

Desirable
  • Experience in innovation, managing and launching digital/digital-first Banking propositions in the UK/other relevant markets
  • Deep understanding of Mortgages and Consumer Lending products and services relevant for Mass Affluent customers in the UK/other relevant markets
