A well-established organisation focused on reducing the risk of cybercrime is looking for an articulate Head of Information Security to provide inspirational leadership to its team. This client embraces flexible working, and this position is fully remote-based. Within this role of significant responsibility, you will lead the Information Security team and oversee the delivery of structured cyber security assessments for clients. You will assess vulnerabilities, provide advice and guidance on how to mitigate information security risks and encourage the adoption of cyber security best practices. You will have overall responsibility for external web and systems assessments, internal and external vulnerability assessments, and security awareness training. Key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing a growing team Review, quality assure, and approve all cyber security assessments Ability to create clear, concise policies and procedures Review and update all training materials Ensure the team is delivering accurate documentation in a timely fashion and to scope In order to be suitable for this position you must have proven commercial experience in a senior Information Security role. You will be able to identify vulnerabilities, harden systems and provide expert advice on strategies to mitigate cyber security risks. You will be a qualified information security professional (CISMP/CISSP/Crest/OSCP) with demonstrable expertise in security assessments, testing, and training. You will have a deep understanding of web, network, and security architectures which will enable you to evaluate risks and assess the effectiveness of security controls. You will have proven experience providing leadership to technical teams and be confident with stakeholder management.
