
Head of HR - Europe London, England
Job description
- Provide ER, coaching and performance support for employees and managers in the region.
- Facilitate as a mediator when required to try and resolve employee grievances.
- Provide general day-to-day advice and guidance on people management issues.
- Support managers with the effective monitoring and management of employee absence, including holiday, sickness, and maternity / paternity leave.
- Deliver and implement training programs for the region (e.g., management training programs and onboarding)
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring metrics that support the achievement of business goals, necessary aspects of HR and training and development.
- Write and deliver training sessions to continue personal development of Line Managers throughout the company.
- Work closely with the US HQ to localise processes and policies and align on global strategy.
- Partner with functions to create career paths and develop succession plans.
- Advise on structure, competencies, and operating model.
- Partner with functional executives on compensation planning.
- Partner with the Global Payroll Manager to ensure a smooth monthly payroll process for 3 different countries.
- Conduct annual reward bench marking exercise and make recommendations to the executive team.
- Manage the monthly employee onboarding onto chosen benefits.
- Create a rewarding employee experience within Europe. Develop programs to enhance employee experience and employee engagement.
- Implement strategies to engage and retain great talent from the moment of hiring.
- Assist with organising cultural engagement initiatives across the 4 sites in Europe.
- Work with assigned leaders, support the development of talent strategies.
- Lead on recruitment process for European hires.
- Provide coaching and support for 1 direct report (HR Assistant)
- Ensure all HR policies and processes are compliant with relevant employment laws across the 3 locations.
- Ensure all employee data is up to date on Workday and handled in line with UK and EU Data Protection Laws
- Ensure all employee documentation (contracts, handbooks, and letters) are up to date and comply with the latest employment laws.
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent occupational experience
- Up to date knowledge of UK and other European employment law
- Experience in developing HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance
- Experience of designing and delivering coaching/mentoring, learning and development and talent management programmes
- Experience using Workday
- Recruitment and Selection experience
