The Role
As our Head of Business Development, you will dive into the communications, content and digital marketing arena with no hesitation. Reporting directly to our CEO , you will a member of the Global Sales Leadership Team implementing strategy, process, and proactively seeking out new business opportunities. As a true new business hunter, you'll be an out-of-the-box thinker who's comfortable with change and loves sharing your passion for sales with others.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive new sales and revenue for the organisation
- Conduct lead generation and qualification activities focused on enterprise, global, and Fortune 500 clients
- Promote and deliver an industry leading go-to-market sales strategy
- Define, establish, and implement business development strategy
- Manage a global New Business team that can drive business growth across all customer segments and profiles
- Maximize reach and efficiency by fostering strong relationships with new scalable partners
- Successfully move clients through sales funnel to contract signing
- Track leads, opportunities, and manage sales process execution
- Continuously monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
- Monitor marketplace and analyse opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
- Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating sales staff
- Collaborate with the senior executives and Global Sales Leadership team to report on sales forecasts, pipeline, and proposals
- Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization’s revenue-generating departments
- Participate in networking, tradeshows, and public speaking events to research and connect with prospective clients
- Craft business proposals and contracts to draw in new and additional revenue
- Collaborate with Marketing, Client Services, and other internal stakeholders to discover new ways to promote products and services
About You
- Previous experience in a global sales leadership role with a proven record of driving and implementing revenue growth
- Extensive experience developing new business and fostering lasting relationships, preferably in the professional services, consulting, communications, or digital marketing industry
- Sales evangelist who enjoys the thrill of uncovering new business opportunities and growing revenue streams
- Ability to quickly identify pain points and suggest suitable solutions
- Strong customer service skills with a knack for networking and fostering relationships
- Advanced presentation and communication skills with the ability to conduct business in a professional manner
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire by example
- Extensive knowledge of digital marketing, corporate communications, and technology
- Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Highly detailed and organised
- Seasoned strategist capable of creating and implementing processes across international New Business teams
- Proficient with industry-leading CRM systems and strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- You will be based in our London office 3 days per week and have the flexibility to travel to our global offices and client base on a regular basis
