We are currently looking for a Head of Food, Beverage & Hotel to join our team… Is this the opportunity you have been looking for?
Following changes to the business, you will be responsible for heading up the global onboard food, beverage & hotel function for onboard services across all passenger routes. The successful candidate will be managing a team of category managers across the food, beverage, and consumables as well as a production manager to optimize the food production from supplier to plate. You will be working closely with group procurement to build a food strategy across all passenger vessels that leverages on scale and meets the needs for all routes. The position will entail working closely with suppliers and local route teams to deliver a quality of food offering which will meet the needs of all passengers.
We are seeking an individual who is pro-active in their approach, eager to learn, in a busy environment, but has excellent management skills whilst being able to develop effective relationships. Confident managing time, prioritising workloads effectively, alongside fantastic communication skills with your own team and other department members. Strong health, safety and quality knowledge to ensure the companies activities are in accordance with relevant policies. During this role you will need to be able to suggest improvements, be proactive and use a variety of management techniques to ensure a safe level of working whilst driving the business forward.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Creation of Menus and offers for BU Ropax Vessels.
- Responsible for Food Margin across BU Ropax Vessels.
- Holds the supplier relationship with Group Procurement and aids in Tenders.
- Head Of Role is responsible for laundry contracts in collaboration with Group Procurement.
- Commercial reporting and margin management.
- Sell through reporting and item sales ranking.
- Managing stock levels in warehouses so we have the right amount for the operation.
- Assisting the Category Managers in the day today management of the category.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work on numerous projects at the same time with different agencies.
- Good understanding of how to create a good dining experience for customers.
- Strong communicator and facilitator to implement changes with kitchen and serving staff.
- Good understanding of consumer food occasions and what drives growth and spend per head.
- The ability to develop relationships and be diplomatic to bridge gaps in an organization.
- Solid track record in developing topline growth for a quick service or full-service restaurant.
- Have a good understanding of Food Safety law and policies across the UK and Europe.
