We are looking for a forward-thinking person to join our world class Respiratory Supply Chain (RSC) Lab team. We need someone who is able to innovate our processes and work as a team to drive the lab forward whilst ensuring continued product supply is maintained.
The RSC Lab at GSK Ware GSC (Pharmaceutical Supply Chain) forms a crucial part of the RSC Value Stream on site by ensuring that we are delivering the absolute highest quality medicines to our patients. This involves product testing, laboratory investigations, and trend analysis of results. Experience of analytical testing and HPLC would be advantageous.
Job Purpose:
The Laboratory Analyst role is at the core of what we do at site. You would be responsible for carrying out product testing and analysis, to support the laboratory team in order to provide a consistent flow of safe, efficacious and compliant product for the site. Within your job you must ensure that Good Manufacturing Practice and compliance with EHS regulations within the laboratory are maintained at all times. Laboratory analysts work as part of a close-knit team, collaborating within the lab and with external departments and customers, to maintain supply, solve problems and drive improvement.
About You:
This role would suit a motivated person who has strong experience of working in a GMP laboratory, with experience of chemical testing techniques. You should work well in a fast-paced environment and thrive on opportunities to solve problems and innovate. Strong people skills and a proven ability to work in a team are essential, as well as good report writing skills. Following standardized procedures and processes are crucial in a GMP environment, so you should have a keen eye for detail, but you must also have a strong continuous improvement mindset and drive to improve on the standards in place.
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical sciences or related discipline.
Good understanding of laboratory methodologies.
Preferred experience:
Understanding / knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
Experience of Oral Solid Dose testing methodologies
