An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Finance at the University of Sheffield.
The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis is a key member of the Department of Finance and has responsibility for the effective delivery of a high-quality service that enables University wide strategic decision making. This role is varied and dynamic and presents a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact delivering high quality and effective financial planning and reporting to our executive team and governing body.
The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead the team responsible for financial planning and budget setting (c. £900m income per annum), reporting and analysis of the University’s financial performance against budgets and targets, and OfS financial regulatory reporting and compliance.
You will have outstanding people skills and experience of successfully delivering impact, continual improvement, and innovation. A strong capacity to form and maintain effective networks across the University and with external partners is essential. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Finance department and wider business teams, and will have a proven record of playing a critical role within a high performing team within a university or large company.

This role has been identified as a full-time post, but we are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities with our staff which benefit both the individual and the University. Therefore, we would consider flexible delivery of the role subject to meeting the business needs of the post.
