One of the UK's premier Facilities Management (FM) providers are now looking for a Technically minded middle to senior manager, to come in and play a key part ins service delivery across a prestigious contract for a well known utilities client.
The client's property portfolio include critical corporate sites, depots, a Data Centre and windfarms spread across the UK, with their HQ in Glasgow. The employer provide both Hard and Soft services, with Hard services spanning electrical, HVAC, fabric and projects.
The technical delivery is done via a mixture of mobile, static and subcontractor.
This role is responsible for the Hard FM delivery, with emphasis facing the client and working with the Account Director.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established leader within FM Engineering looking to take their next step firmly into senior leadership.
Actions will include:
- Responsible for the contract management of the staff, operation and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical plants/services, project works and Building performance.
- Daily management of the Engineering team including compliance with disciplinary processes and procedures.
- To direct, instruct and manage all staff under their control as well as SSP’s ensuring compliance with working practices.
- To complete the weekly operations report to the client and attend weekly operations meeting, client meetings as requested, in conjunction with the client.
- Ensure that all matters that may impact the smooth running of the building and facilities are immediately reported to both and the contracts Senior Management.
- To conduct regular reviews of operating procedures making recommendations for improvement with appropriate working practices and emergency/contingency procedures within the critical systems.
- Liaise and keep informed both the client and the Account Director on all aspects of contract problems (defects & deficiencies).
- To ensure that all staff within their control are conversant with the operation and control of critical and noncritical systems installed within the portfolio.
- To ensure quality is maintained throughout the facilities.
We need from you:
- A clear engineering background, with a preference for electrical qualifications
- Established leadership experience on a regional or a national basis
