As Head of Energy Management at Best.Energy, you will take the lead in delivering energy savings for a variety of clients, in a variety of sectors across the country. With the support of our Energy Analytics Lead and the wider team, you will successfully deliver our Energy Management products and services to the rapidly growing UK market.
The purpose of the Energy Management department is to provide customers with knowledge and expertise on how their energy is being used and wasted. It exists fundamentally to enable cross-sector clients to make substantial savings, without impacting their business, working in tandem with our market-leading technology suite.
Responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with client contacts regularly; developing relationships, understanding sites, managing expectations.
- Interpreting data from real-time energy monitoring systems and identifying saving opportunities.
- Attending site meetings
- Conducting energy site surveys
- Presenting face-to-face and digital workshops on the subject of energy saving and behaviour change
- Internal liaison with data analytics, R&D and VEM (Virtual Energy Management) team members to coordinate projects
- Influencing and advising on monitoring solution designs, alongside the engineering and solution design teams
- Building, over time, a dedicated energy saving / management team with UK-wide coverage
You - Head of Energy Management
The successful candidate will be an experienced Energy Manager, with a strong track-record delivering energy savings in the commercial and industrial sectors – ideally across a range of sectors.
You will be well organised, with a strong aptitude for team management. A confident communicator, soft skills will be essential for liaising with clients effectively and on a regular basis. Enthusiasm for energy saving and sustainability is essential.
This role forms part of a wider, cross-functional team – so collaborative skills are essential. Key KPIs must be hit on each project, so a goal-driven individual is an advantage.
The preferred skills and qualifications for the position include;
- CMVP qualification & IPMVP application knowledge
- EnCO Consultant or Practitioner status
- Strong understanding of renewable energy systems
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong report writing skills and exhibit proficiency in written English. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of energy saving strategies and solutions, specifically in commercial and industrial settings. Furthermore, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, along with exceptional numerical skills and a firm grasp of statistical analysis techniques.
Particular experience in the following sectors is valuable, but not essential:
- Hotel / Hospitality
- Manufacturing
- Printing & Packaging
- Food Production
- Education & Higher Education
- Care Homes
Experience in the following areas of energy saving is extremely beneficial:
- Monitoring & Targeting
- Behaviour Change
- Variable Speed Drives
- IoT Control
- BMS
- LED Lighting
Additional experience in a diverse range of energy saving strategies is extremely valuable.
