What’s it all about?
The Head of Digital Content and Social will lead content and social strategy, creation, programming and distribution for Visa Europe.
This will include the Paid/Earned/Social/Owned framework in terms of channel strategy, excellence in content creation for various platforms and owned channels, measurement. Mapping and driving best in class Social Media and Influencer marketing across the whole Europe region. Driving digital Brand transformation through strong collaboration with key stakeholders (Marketing team, product team and external agencies). This role will also be critical in building content capabilities, working with publishers/partners/platforms in the development and delivering a roadmap that takes us from status quo to market leaders.
What we expect of you, day to day:
- Develop and drive the content and social strategy across Visa Europe. • Execute a holistic, year- round content engine & calendar to support multiple initiatives and brand storytelling through social & creator-led content.
- Map and drive best in class Social Media and Influencer marketing. Enrich them by embedding & scaling additional community services & tools on owned platforms.
- Integrating PESO framework in the marketing mix with the focus on measurement within the multiple channels
- Lead in Social innovation and content creation for the social channel.
- Development and management of earned media digital partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with key publishers and provide tailor-made plans for various social platforms.
- Map and deploy data strategy along with Customer Data Platform technical solution. Ensure the seamless transition to the regular and efficient own data usage in all media campaigns.
- Drive digital Brand transformation through strong collaboration with key stakeholders (Clusters’ Marketing teams, Media Director, Brand Director, Product team and external agencies).
- Lead the Digital influencer’ and content creators’ strategy and tactics development.
- Lead SMM programming.
- Lead best practice to connect content and media to ensure best composition (format and creative style and messaging) to drive engagement and business outcomes (specific to channel and holistically across the channel mix).
- Lead the digital content testing platform with the aim of driving version effectiveness, optimisation of creative budget and data building. This includes conducting ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness, supervising data collection and resulting recommendations.
- Define consumer journeys and audiences to deliver optimal and connected communication and messaging, that not only drives business outcomes over time, but feeds the data loop.
- Build a testing matrix and indicators that determine when or whether to originate/adapt creative vs reusing creative based on knowing whether it will drive improved business results.
- Set the best approach to collaboration with media owners and content creators to determine the best overarching content and distribution strategy across multiple content creators and channels.
- Setting the right operating and collaboration model with the immediate team and agencies, Global, Strategy, Sponsorships, Data Science and markets that allows the roadmap to be delivered at pace.
- Act as a champion of social innovation and collaboration and inspire the Marketing Europe team to do the same.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
What we’re after…
- Substantial experience as a content leader working with brands and agencies.
- Advanced understanding of Social channel and knowledge of key publishers’ ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge in development of PESO framework and its opportunities for marketing.
- Ability to lead and drive the digital agenda internally, inspiring the local teams.
- Knowledge and management of programming of agile content.
- Significant experience in creation of story angles for social, content plan and editorial.
- Significant experience of organic content and influencers’ digital marketing.
- A highly creative storyteller who can create and build engaging content by leaning into audience insights and cultural opportunities to clearly articulate the brand voice and align with its marketing objectives.
- Proven editorial and content creation skills across both long-form content creation and immediate content creation, distributions strategies and production.
- The ability to lead and inspire large teams of creative personnel and content creators to achieve company’s stated goals.
- Knowledgeable about existing and emergency technology and tools across content insights, production and distribution. Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions through partnerships.
- Exceptional influencing skills and ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong technical proficiency in all aspects of digital marketing capabilities, including credibility with key platform partners and agencies.
- Able to analyze and synthesize data to inform future recommendations and decisions
- Strong organisational skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience of strategy development and delivery.
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Personal gravitas, excellent relationship building skills, influencing and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
