Role overview:
Tes has gone through a major journey of creative change over the last three years, having brought several disparate identities together, including brands which were using separate and external creative services. Now, with one central team, we have started a journey to further develop our approaches and practices, as well as establish a new global identity that can adapt to many products, can support our wider brand strategy, and ultimately, can be delivered in a structured and efficient manner.

The Head of Creative has an opportunity to come into the business at an important point, as we go through some significant stages in our evolution, both in terms of our marketing creative, and the wider creative approach of the business as a whole. The role gives an experienced creative leader an opportunity to form the new generation of our creative strategy and approach, and ultimately underpin a new presentation of our brand and creative output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Creative function, made up of designers and copywriters, with potential growth on the horizon.
  • Act as one of the senior representatives of a global marketing function.
  • Work with other marketing colleagues to understand the Creative needs and wants, and then set out the roadmap to manage expectations and outputs.
  • Work with fellow Marketing leaders to agree how we best reflect the brand in our creative approach.
  • Set out the Creative strategy, and gain buy-in across key stakeholders across the business to allow for maximum compliance and impact.
  • Work closely with Product to set out and align creative styles and approaches over time.
  • Take ownership for developing the Creative function, the team, and ways of working.
  • Track, analyse and report Creative activity to allow for monitoring of output, and informing future developments.
  • Deliver a new generation of modular illustration approaches to provide stronger, yet efficient creative outputs.
  • Take a lead in how we bring our products to life and provide greater impact and efficiency in our output.
  • Manage any budgets associated with the Creative function.
  • Help set out new strategies and approaches to video assets.
What will you need to succeed?

  • An experienced leader in creative, able to set out a vision and the structure, discipline, and ways of working.
  • Experienced at rolling out change successfully, from concept, through to storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and delivery.
  • Experienced at developing creative styles that effectively link marketing and product.
  • Able to understand a product and illustrate the valuable elements through creative.
  • Experience of working with SaaS businesses.
  • Skilled at working with modular approaches to creative.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to enable robust and positive working relationships both across the wider marketing function and outside of marketing.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Highly driven, with a sense of urgency, and motivated to create change in line with business objectives.
  • Able to work withing evolving environments, dealing with nuances and edge cases on the move.
  • Experienced at managing a team and developing individuals and structures.
  • Ability to understand business and marketing strategies and reflect those in output and strategies.
  • Able to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement and drive the solution.
  • Diplomatic, energetic, confident, and naturally creative.
