Head of Creative & Marketing

We are looking for an impressive individual to take on this exciting and dynamic role. You will need to be highly creative with previous social media, brand marketing and E-Commerce Management knowledge, as well as experience in managing digital agencies and freelancers and overseeing a budget. The right candidate will need to demonstrate a proven history of increasing brand awareness, delivering creative content and driving commercial performance whilst having a technical understanding of website functionality.

You must have a minimum of 5 years’ marketing experience with at least 2 years management experience. We are looking for someone with content creation skills and excellent communication and organisational skills to work with a number of external and internal teams.

This role will be diverse, interesting and challenging, and the right candidate will be self-motivated and enthusiastic with knowledge of jewellery and trends being preferred.

This is what you’ll do

  • Create and drive the Marketing strategy across all on and offline channels. Accountable for all creative output, with a clear focus on increasing brand awareness, establishing brand identity, driving commercial performance, and contributing to the overall business strategy.

Brands

  • Work with key stakeholders to define brand identity and create and maintain a clear brand vision
  • Create and maintain clear tone of voice for each brand, across all marketing channels
  • Ensure all customer touch points have a coherent brand message – including but not limited to the Direct to Consumer website, in-store concessions, social media channels, and packaging
  • Analyse consumer behaviour and determine customer personas across the brands and channels
  • Marketing
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
  • Work with the Merchandise and Buying teams to plan all forthcoming events, both online and in store
  • Manage production and effective distribution of marketing materials, both online and in store
  • Deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget
  • Creative
  • Oversee all creative materials both online and in store
  • Organise post sign-off meetings on each brand to ensure a full understanding of the ranges
  • Work with the Head of Buying to agree key looks to target each season
  • Plan photoshoots, both in house and external, to ensure they are relevant to current trends, in line with brand strategy, and creating enough content for all channels
  • Source photographers, hair and make-up, stylists and models for the photoshoot
  • Attend and Art Direct photo shoot

Digital Marketing

  • Develop and maintain a strong and competitive digital marketing strategy to ensure the development and growth of each brand including; SEO, Social media, E-mail, affiliate, and PPC
  • Work to grow international social presence and grow our following for ME/Alshaya
  • Manage external agencies to implement agreed overall strategies to work to achieve set targets, and manage KPIs
  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns
  • Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments
  • Create email strategy and oversee implementation and execution all emails
  • Oversee and approve all online content to ensure that content is optimized and is on brand
  • Arrange regular meetings with external partner teams to build good working relationships for maximum exposure
  • Regularly communicate with Trade Director and CEO about digital marketing goals and results
  • Build relationships with third parties, such as bloggers, celebrity endorsements, affiliate partners, retail partnerships
  • Communicate current offers and content out to multiple partners and agencies
  • Monitor reports on campaign performance and manage weekly promotional activity
  • Work on developing new business opportunities
  • Ensure user data is captured in line with our CRM and data management strategies and that the storage and use of it complies with Data Protection laws
  • Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and on budget

Social Media

  • Plan and monitor the ongoing company presence on all social media sites
  • Create effective content, relative to each channel, in line with brand strategy
  • Ensure that the company is building following and customer engagement
  • Adapt marketing materials by brand and channel to ensure they are relevant for each audience while maintaining brand tone of voice
  • Packaging
  • Benchmark competitors and research the market to provide design direction for the forthcoming season
  • Create packaging by brand that reflects and solidifies brand identity, within an agreed budget
  • Follow an agreed critical path to ensure packaging is delivered on time both direct to suppliers and to Head Office

In Store POS

  • Work with the B&M teams to plan all forthcoming in store events and ensure that there is relevant POS
  • Benchmark competitors and research the market to provide POS direction for the forthcoming season
  • Create POS by brand that reflects and solidifies brand identity, within an agreed budget
  • Manage print production and process with suppliers, following an agreed critical path to ensure POS is delivered on time to UK and International stores
  • Assist with uploading of new products, ensuring deadlines are met by completing uploads on a weekly basis and keeping accurate logs
  • Day-to-day management of the online store using Visualsoft, ensuring the website is kept up to date with seasonally relevant products, updated imagery and banners, new in products, regularly updated category pages
  • Loading product to external partner sites, managing specific requirements of loading to each separate trading channel
  • Ensure products are displayed correctly on the website focusing on accuracy from the initial upload checking pricing, descriptions and imagery are all correct and consistent across all partner sites.
  • Asset management, ensuring samples and images are collated ahead of photo shoots and stock launches
  • Ensure products are put live as soon as the stock arrives, raising any stock or SKU issues with the relevant teams, Buying, Merchandising and/or the warehouse team
  • Monitor product performance to ensure product and category pages are optimised efficiently
  • Build and test promo codes, reporting on performance of these across our own website
  • Use Google Analytics and reports to inform on site decisions
  • Working alongside the Marketing team to build relevant categories on website to follow trends and key marketing themes.
  • Working closely with customer service so any technical issues with the website can be resolved as quickly as possible.
