Job description
The post holder will provide expert and strategic communications and engagement advice and practical support to the communications team. This will be achieved through taking a day-to-day role in managing and leading the team to ensure operational delivery of internal, external and communications priorities in line with the agreed strategy.
The post holder will be required to deputise for the Associate Director of Communications and Engagement on all matters. This might include advising on the handling of communications matters (including reactive media advice) and being a main of contact for any questions from either our internal, external (including media) and digital communication channels. It will also require supporting strategic projects communications and charity activity as may become necessary.
The post holder will be based at BNHH but will be expected to attend and work at Trust sites as needed. Travel to other locations across Hampshire may also be required, for instance as part of a public consultation. The successful candidate will also required to work flexibly, including out of hours and as part of the communications on-call rota.
