Position Summary
The commercial execution for The Glenrothes, Highland Park and Wyoming Whiskey will transform over the coming years, importance and focus on PCRMs and changes to the distribution into key cities, specialist retail and the on trade. This role will be instrumental in delivering these changes and ensuring that this is co-ordinated and well managed across markets and regions. The role will lead the global commercial excellence agenda with the RMDs, MDs and key city teams for the Business Unit, working closely with the Global Brand Directors and Senior Finance Manager. The BU does not have any regions reporting directly into the leadership team and this role will take the lead in ensuring the direction and execution of the brand strategies is commercially robust, well thought through and executed in market.
Job Description
  • Actively engage and communicate with the priority markets to ensure commercial delivery for the Estate Brands BU
  • Challenge and enable appropriate resource in key markets to deliver BU objectives
  • Leadership of the pricing conversation with regions and markets ensuring all minimum requirements are achieved
  • Initiate and embed Strategic Revenue Management for the Estate Brands BU with the relevant regions and markets
  • Engage, train and co-ordinate the global and regional PCRM resource to deliver against BU goals and objectives – embedding a new way of working, particularly for The Glenrothes
  • Actively manage the transition of products in a co-ordinated manner, modelling impact with the Senior Finance Manager and influencing the regions to deliver against agreed targets
  • Lead the Regional QBRs meetings – set the agenda, agree the pre-read, communicating and following up on the actions
  • Lead the commercial strategy discussions with the regions and markets, aligning commercial targets with the Senior Finance Manager, to deliver a smooth transition and growth for The Glenrothes, Highland Park and Wyoming Whiskey as we accelerate premiumisation of the brands
  • Work with the Insights Manager to lead the key city approach for BU, ensuring clarity between brands and regions and the right level of resource in market to deliver against expected execution
  • Responsible for the setting of high-quality commercial targets - lead and embed the brands participation in Edrington’s on & off trade segmentation model, establishing clear targets and criteria with key regions and markets
  • Play an active role on the Leadership Team bringing a commercial perspective to strategic conversations and decisions, representing the regions, markets and retailers
  • Work closely with the brand teams on communication with markets outside of Marketing function – leading conversations on Commercial Excellence with the Commercial teams at all levels from RMD to Brand Ambassadors
Skills and Experience

To take on the challenge of this role you will be educated to MBA/ Degree level with previous commercial experience at a senior leadership level commensurate to this level of role.You will have a diverse career path and history encompassing extensive senior commercial / marketing experience in the luxury &/ prestige goods industry or retail environments. You will have the gravitas to influence senior leadership teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies, with a track record of inspiring teams to deliver commercial results. An understanding and curiosity around the ultra-premium whisky and wider luxury categories are desirable.
