About this opportunity
We’re looking for someone with technical expertise, vision, entrepreneurial flair, and a genuine passion to lead and develop our climate change and sustainability offering in the marketplace.
This role needs someone who will help our clients develop their climate resilience strategies. You’ll need to be able to win, manage and deliver projects and grow work year on year. You will be given the independence to shape our services and lead a team of climate change and sustainability specialists.
You will offer leadership and support for developing and delivering our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, working with your colleagues to continually improve the sustainability of our operations.
Your natural commercial acumen and entrepreneurial vision will enable you to take ownership of the development and growth of this exciting new business unit.
Essential Skills / Experience
If you’re looking for your next career challenge and the chance to shape and grow a team of like-minded people, this role could be for you.
This role will include the management of complex sustainability projects, so you’ll need strong prioritisation and organisational skills. You’ll be delivering innovative services across a range of projects, such as energy and infrastructure projects, and development schemes for private and public clients.
You’ll be working closely with colleagues across the UK to win and manage projects as well as working directly with our clients and stakeholders, so we’re looking for a person who also has:
- Technical expertise and detailed knowledge of climate /net zero methodologies and best practice
- Plenty of experience working in a technical climate change/sustainability setting
- Strong commercial project management track record - delivering projects on time and within budget
- An innovative approach to working in a commercial setting
- A natural ability to identify new opportunity and win work
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and other stakeholders, write technical reports, and check the work of others
- The ability to fit easily into a team, be a natural leader, and engage with other technical specialists
- A desire to develop and nurture a productive and happy team
- An innovative and proactive point of view to look at better ways to deliver our services and develop your team to take on evolving market requirements
