Job Description
As a member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, this role provides an outstanding opportunity to lead the agenda on a broad range of business-critical areas – from directing the development and implementation of our people strategy for c700 colleagues, to orchestrating reporting for executive committees, to overseeing the agreement of annual marketing contribution targets.

Leading a team of 14 people, this broad role is pivotal to the smooth running of CCO and entails 4 broad responsibility areas:
People. Developing the vision and strategy for all our people activity. Learning and development is a big focus area for us, so you’ll seek to create an environment where colleagues are able thrive in their careers. You'll champion wellbeing and look to continuously drive progress in our diversity and inclusion agenda. You’ll also work collaboratively with the Brands, Marketing and Experience team on initiatives which continue to have a shared purpose across both functions.
Reporting. You’ll lead the team in shaping and developing CCO Leadership Team / Customer Relationships Executive Committee reporting and dashboards. You’ll also monitor the CCO FTE, and undertake productivity analysis.
Budget Management. You’ll lead the team through the various budget management cycles for CCO marketing spend, directing investment to ensure the best marketing returns and performance. You’ll be responsible for the resource cost base, ensuring that the function stays within budget. You’ll also play a lead role in CCO OD Change and Strategy – ensuring the function is best set up to deliver against strategic priorities both now and in the future.
Business Planning. Leading a team of specialists you’ll shape marketing targets on an annual and quarterly basis, co-ordinating interlock with the various business units.

Strong leadership skills, both in terms of leading your team as well as playing a key role within the broader CCO team.
Critical thinking. Focusing on the things that build tangible impact in the areas that matter.
Analytical / logical and cost / value orientated.
Passion about every aspect on the People agenda – development, progression, inclusion & diversity, wellbeing, Putting people front and centre and at the heart of what we do.
Collaborative, working with BME to effectively pool resources on areas where both functions have a common interest (rather than duplicate!).
Strong influencing skills.
Location & Ways of Working:
We can accommodate you being based in our Bristol or Chester hub locations for this role.
Our colleagues, work in a hybrid model which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our hub sites.
