Overview We are looking to appoint a Head of Business Development at our North London Open Spaces, including Hampstead Heath and Highgate Woods. We are looking for someone who is ambitious, energetic, and innovative to manage the site and improve the overall commercial growth. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth and forge strong business relations with employees and service users. About Us The City of London Corporation manages 11,000 acres (approximately 4,500 hectares) of land in and around London that is enjoyed by over 16 million visitors annually. Whilst there are small pockets of land within the Square Mile, the majority can be found elsewhere in London and the surrounding counties. The City Corporation acts as Trustee of 10 charities which, through their various objects, are responsible for the preservation in perpetuity of a considerable proportion of these award-winning open spaces. The Role You will work closely with the Assistant Director, North London Open Space (NLOS) and collaboratively will colleagues across the department and beyond to Develop a customer focused growth and marketing strategy Identify priorities for a funding plan and maximise income generation opportunities Undertake research to identify new markets and customer needs Develop a small team to effectively deliver objectives Be part of the local leadership team, building excellent relationships with colleagues and stakeholders Develop forecast, budget and track performance The ideal Candidate You will be an excellent communicator with experience of developing and building relationships. With experience handling varied portfolio, you will be solution focused dealing with complex projects. With considerable experience writing and presenting reports, you will be excellent at managing your time and developing project plans.
