Job description

Headway Essex is a charity providing therapeutic and post-rehabilitation services for adults with acquired brain injury and we are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to Head up our service delivery team.

You will:

  • Ensure services are maintained to a high standard of support and advice for adults living with acquired brain injury, in Essex, to enable them to lead a fulfilling life.
  • Be responsible for the leadership and management development of the service delivery team.
  • Be an ambassador for Headway Essex, building relationships with other providers and commissioners to promote its services and take an active role in relevant forum groups.
  • Play a lead role in the strategic development and operational delivery of person centered care for our clients, ensuring the highest possible standards for the service users and their families.
  • Have overall responsibility for the safeguarding of adults in the organisations care.
  • Work as part of the senior management team and participate in strategy development, policy formation and management.

The Ideal Candidate will:-

  • Be either a qualified Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or hold another relevant degree or can evidence relevant experience, ideally with a relevant qualification (e.g. social care, management)
  • Have a strong, successful proven track record within a leadership role
  • Have excellent knowledge of Safeguarding practice in adult social care
  • Have great communication skills and team management skills
  • Have a positive approach to change, is proactive and solutions focused with a firm eye on continuous improvement.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to use your own vehicle to travel to our office/day centre bases around Essex.

Benefits

Full time or part time hours (30 hours per week Tuesday to Friday)

£40,000 - £45,000 (pro-rata) per annum

5 weeks annual leave (plus bank holidays).

Pension Scheme, mileage allowance in line with company policy and time off in lieu for any overtime worked.

The successful applicant will have the right to work in the UK, need to provide contact details for two suitable references and undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
