Farleigh Hospice is a high performing, award winning organisation providing specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life limiting illness in the Mid Essex region. Our team at Farleigh has grown and evolved to meet the changings needs of the community we serve and we are looking for highly motivated Head of Bereavement Care to join our specialist team.
Farleigh Hospice bereavement service is a well-established team of multi-disciplinary professionals who support children, young people and adults pre and post bereavement who live in Mid Essex. The service is available for all of the community, not just families known to Farleigh Hospice.
Our Circle team support adults and our YoYo team children and young people. We also have a very large team of volunteers (50+) who support our families experiencing bereavement.
Both Circle and YoYo work closely together and demonstrate high drive for our Farleigh mission to lead on the delivery of excellent palliative care, working in partnership with the patient, their family, and all others involved in their support. Ensuring honest conversations are facilitated at the earliest stage to enable understanding and choice through education and support.
You will be a leader in your field, with a drive and passion to improve the experience of our families pre and post bereavement. You will be a strategic thinker, able to prioritise and plan well, monitoring and reviewing large caseloads and competing priorities and demands.
You will have the ability to think independently and innovatively, to ensure development of the services in the future to meet increasing need, and greater complexity.
