Job description
We are looking to add a Head IT Support Engineer - Home Users to our growing team who provide local technology experts to home users baffled by technology.
The role would involve:
- supporting our onsite Customer Assistants whilst they are visiting customers in their home resolving problems with computers, tablets & smartphones. Our Customer Assistants are recruited for their people skills so need a point of escalation for when they get stuck resolving a problem and need some expert help - you'll be the helpful on the end of the phone or chat giving them suggestions to try.
- giving our Customer Assistants guidance on company procedure, advising when a repair isn't suitable to be completed onsite. You'd help the Customer Assistant to follow our company of escalating the job for a repair in our workshop.
- providing remote support direct to our customers, solving issues remotely on Windows & Mac devices.
- working with our Area Co-ordinators to highlight Customer Assistants who need training on specific areas to improve the service we're giving to customers.
Our ideal candidate would be:
- Extremely friendly and able to quickly build relationships with our customers, happily chatting to them whilst working.
- Able to explain even the most complex technology problems in a simple, easy to understand way.
- Extremely comfortable with Windows, Andriod and iOS. Ability troubleshooting.
- Always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that a customer is delighted with the service received.
Working hours would be Monday, Wednesday & Friday 5pm to 8pm. Additional hours may be available on a Tuesday and Thursday between 5pm and 6pm.

Part-time hours: 9 per week
Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
