At a glance We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef for our beautiful Hotel in Cookham, part of the John Lewis Partnership, The Odney Hotel. Our Place by the River. Our beautiful John Lewis and Partners hotel, set in 130 acres by the River Thames in Cookham, Berkshire offers both character and charm. Working pattern - 45 hrs per week, earliest start time 6 am - latest finish time 10 pm with flexibility to stay later for larger events - This role is based at The Odney Club, Cookham. Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £27,000 - £37,000 (prorated to 32,400 - 44,401) Contract type - This is a permanent role. Live-in accommodation is available within 1-mile radius of The Odney Club. About the role We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead and inspire the talented kitchen team of our Country Club hotel to create exceptional culinary experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests. Using your creativity and flair to develop and execute a food offer that aligns with our Hotel's unique offer, while also ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, innovation, and cost control. Your leadership will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining the hotel's reputation as a top destination for all things membership, leisure and business where guests can enjoy a diverse and inspiring culinary experience.
