Looking for our next Head Chef. Salary dependant on experience
This role is in St Ives, Cornwall.
The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the food offering, and kitchen at Source Kitchen. They will have menu autonomy within an agreed set of boundaries which is based on what Source Kitchen is about and what guests have come to love about it. They will also have full responsibility for ensuring GP targets are hit.
As well as a very competitive salary, you will receive a substantial addition to your salary from service charges which are shared with all staff. In the summer this can be in excess of £1000 per person.

Source Kitchen arrived in St Ives 3 years ago, and what a 3 years it's been! We’re really passionate about British, local produce and using the best we can to deliver an amazing guest experience, that feels local, sustainable and exciting. We use some incredible suppliers including Trenow Farm, Wild Harbour, Fowey Valley, Cornish Buffalo Mozzarella, amongst many more.

We’re called Source Kitchen, because we are so passionate about how and where we source our ingredients. We are open for Brunch, Lunch & Dinner 7 days a week in peak season. and 5 days a week throughout the rest of the year. Our current lease means have to have the restaurant empty by 10pm so no incredibly late nights.
Covers: 36 – 42 (dependent on outdoor seating)
Role and Responsibilities You will currently already be a very experienced head chef. Working alongside the exec chef, you will create and deliver exceptional dishes whilst providing every guest with the highest of standards, creating memorable experiences. You will have experience of working in a busy environment. You will have ambition, determination, drive and energy, whilst being up to date with all current food trends and want to be part of something very special and fun.
Previous experience from a similar environment, with a solid understanding of fresh ingredients and a real passion for seasonal, local produce with a love of wild, foraged ingredients.
Minimise wastage through proper stock control and menu development
Manage and maintain Kitchen H&S Systems and procedures
Developing a strong team, managing, training and motivating them, and leading by example to inspire them. Where necessary you will also recruit any new kitchen team members.
Work to a consistently high standard in a calm manner
· Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
· Health & Safety Certification

Salary: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
