Farmacy Head ChefAbout us:Our 100% organic, plant-based flagship restaurant in Notting Hill opened its doors in 2016.We are proud to offer a natural and simple approach to eating locally and seasonally, while everything on the menu is made from scratch in our kitchens without any refined sugars, chemicals or additives.Our biodynamic farm in Kent allows us to provide a rapid turnaround from field to fork- what this means is that we’re able to serve what we believe to be the most nutrient-packed produce available in the middle of the city.As the Farmacy Head Chef you will inspire and share your passion and in-depth knowledge of delivering modern vegan food, with a focus on working with our biodynamic farm to manage our regenerative culture aims.You will work closely with our entire team, motivating and training them to deliver your food vision, helping us maintain Farmacy’s position as the destination restaurant in London for the regenerative food movement.Primary responsibilitiesThe recruitment, training and development of a brigade of chefs in line with the company’s employee and career management programmes.Driving the kitchen forward towards obtaining accolades and winning awards.Compliance with Food Hygiene, HACCP and Health & Safety regulations.The maintenance of consistency of taste and presentation of food.Working within the company framework and farm manager to produce creative, original dishes for the seasonally changing menu.To be responsible for the development of our external and internal catering capabilities.Working to set budgets for both food purchases and wages.Championing and upholding the company ethos.Maintaining equipment and the working environment to ensure operational excellence.As a Head Chef we would love you to have:· Three years’ experience as Head Chef in a similar role, preferably at fast-paced, casual dining level.· Deep knowledge and understanding of vegan food.· Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate.· Understanding and use of Word / Excel / EPOS systems / Food Hygiene systems e.g. Food Alert.Preferable but not essential· Experience of external and internal event catering.· NVQ Lv 4 in Professional Culinary Arts or similar qualification.· Level 4 Food Hygiene certificate.Competitive Salary package with complimentary family meals, 50% discount on food and drink, retail discount, 28 days holiday allowance and refer a friend incentive!Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £50,000.00 per yearBenefits:FlexitimeSchedule:12 hour shift8 hour shiftFlexitimeWeekend availabilityWork Location: In person
