Job Description
The Head of Analytics will be responsible for but not limited to:
Establishing and maintain a medium-and long-term strategy for the use of Science and Analytics inline within the Company's overall strategy- Maintain a science research plan that will deliver the short, medium- and long-term needs of the company's software products having reference to overall strategy and the company's medium term product plan.
- Manage the Analytics team to deliver against the Dept. plans to ensure delivery of the appropriate science and analytics capabilities in the form required for use with the company's software products.
- Work with the VP of Development & Product Management and the Product Manager to ensure that the Analytics Dept. plan's provide timely deliveries into the relevant development projects and that the Analytics team will as a matter of course work sufficiently ahead of the development team to provide the time and space for the research element of the Analytics Dept.'s work.
- The Head of Analytics is expected to be the champion within the company for the use of AI, Data Modelling, Demand Forecasting, Optimisation/Simulation, Analytics and Business Intelligence within Retail and in particular with our business solution.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Head of Analytics will be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of:
- Strong analytical skills to identify business needs and requirements particularly in the science and or analytics/business intelligence areas.
- Previous success in the enhancement of business IT solutions in a relevant area
- Strong IT Skills in the development process as a business analyst or product owner
- Strong writing and presentation skills and ability to identify the keys issues and document them in a concise, but easy to understand way.
- Strong leadership skills but friendly, personable style and team member
- Understands the importance of collaboration and teamwork.
