This is an exciting opportunity to join the HCSW Development Team within SBUHB. You will work as part of the HCSW Career Framework implementation team to ensure effective delivery of the clinical induction programme for HCSW’s and to ensure that we meet the requirements of the HCSW Framework to lead and develop our HCSW to include assessment of competencies in practice..
The successful candidate would need to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and the development of HCSW across the organisation across all disciplines. You will be expected to communicate with other health professionals advising on effective teaching development and assessment techniques in the clinical area and advising on relevant qualifications available to HCSW's following the advice and guidance of the HCSW development lead.
The post holder will work closely with the HCSW Development Lead to support the monitoring and evaluation of the Clinical Induction programme
To coordinate the HCSW Clinical Induction and deliver relevant teaching sessions and to assesses HCSW Clinical Induction workbooks and maintain the Internal Quality Assurance of the Induction in line with Agored Cymru requirements.
To Liaise with ward managers and AHP's and other outside agencies to provide expert guidance on the qualifications available to meet the requirements of the All Wales NHS Skills and Career Development Framework in view of supporting future workforce planning in developing the HCSW roles.
To support HCSW's in the assessment of work based competencies over a variety of qualifications in line with HCSW banding and job roles.
The funding for this role has been allocated by HEIW in order to develop and deliver a joint Health and Social Care Induction to support the ongoing recruitment and development of social care staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
