HKN Care services specialises in recruiting and supplying highly qualified, experienced healthcare professionals for temporary, contract and permanent positions in various healthcare organisations in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
HKN Care services Limited is currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants/Support Workers to work across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire covering different shifts. We are looking for experienced individuals who have a minimum of 6 months experience and possess the following qualities:

As a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker you would be expected to help vulnerable people live as comfortably as possible. Your primary duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assisting clients/service users with bathing, grooming and getting dressed to ensure that they maintain personal hygiene as per care plan/support plan
· Carry out general household tasks like housework, grocery shopping and laundry
· Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time, taking into account client/service user’s choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements as detailed in care plan ·
· Assisting clients/service users with their medication if required in accordance with their Medication Care Needs Assessment under the supervision of medical personnel
· Providing mental and emotional support
· Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
· Organising suitable recreational activities for clients/service users
· Providing companionship to the service user/ client including actively talking and listening to them about their interests and hobbies·
· Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best care possible
· Undertaking the tasks detailed in the client/ service user’s care plan/support plan in a person-centred and least intrusive way which encourages independence and motivation · Working in partnership with other members of staff ·
· Taking responsibility for the safe handling of client/service user’s property and equipment
· Maintaining good communication and develop effective working relationships with clients/service users
· Maintaining a safe living environment whilst respecting the client/ service user’s choices and rights
· Using manual handling equipment safely

Licence/Certification:
6 months experience working in healthcare within the UK? (required)
Work authorisation:
Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom (required)
