WHAT TO EXPECT:
This role will be responsible for the distribution and transportation of materials, components and sub-assemblies to meet operation requirements. There will also be a requirement for ensuring the safe operational conditions of vehicles in addition to assisting in the loading and unloading of vehicles.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Distribute and transport of materials, components and sub-assemblies to meet operational requirements on the behalf of Jaguar Land Rover- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Ensure safe operational conditions of vehicles
- Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
We are looking for a good team player who is personable, attentive with a customer first approach.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Holds HGV licence (Class 1) and have knowledge of associates duties ie. Secure loading, use of chains/stretching equipment
- Knowledge of load security
- Knowlede of Government and European Union traffic regulations including tachographs
- A full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points and no disqualifications
- Available for shift working patterns as required
- Ability to work overtime and unsocial hours
- Available to work all start times as requires
Desirable:
- Holds a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Knowledge of working time directive
- Knowledge of road network in the UK
- ADR (Dangerous Goods) Trained
- Container work including Reefers
