Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is a division of CBRE which supports occupier clients of all sizes, through facilities management, project management, advisory and transaction services across the globe.
Working under direct supervision of experienced finance managers, Finance graduate trainees will complete a variety of assignments designed to provide exposure to and training across the main parts of the finance team. Assists in invoice pool management, review and tracking of WIP, month-end close and reporting, and performance analysis. Will broaden knowledge through rotational assignments across different parts of the finance team, including a client-based role designed to build understanding of the operational side of the GWS business.
The Finance Graduate programme is designed as follow:
- 3 year programme
- 3x one-year rotational placements, designed to build knowledge of the finance function and the GWS business, working under the supervision of experienced line managers.
- One placement will be client-focused, where the graduate is aligned to one of our contract team. The graduate will support with operational finance tasks such as invoice pool management, WIP tracking, and performance reporting at a contract level. This role will allow the trainee to build detailed operational knowledge of reporting and financial systems, develop an understanding of business performance KPIs and build important communication skills through liaising with client contacts and non-finance colleagues.
- One placement will be a core-finance role where the trainee will build a knowledge of key finance reporting processes such as month-end reporting and key financial controls such as posting journals and performing reconciliations.
- The final year placement focuses on more advanced accountancy skills such as performance analysis, issue resolution, project support and budgets.
During the three year programme, Finance graduates will study for the ACA Level 7 Apprenticeship qualification. Study leave is provided for college attendance, and trainees are supported by the Next Generation Learning & Development team and a dedicated Skills Coach to ensure that all aspects of the apprenticeship and ACA qualification are completed.

Education and Experience
Final year students in undergraduate study or graduates with less than two years’ experience.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
