Job description
Do You Remember The First Time?
The best guitar bands make playing in front of thousands of adoring fans look easy, but like everyone, they'll have needed plenty of help, patience, and perseverance the first time they tried to strum along to their favourite song.
As a passionate and experienced musician, you will understand the time and dedication it takes for a guitarist to hone their craft. You will also appreciate the joy and fulfilment that music brings to people's lives.
Seeing the smiles on children's faces when they get a song right for the first time, and watching as your students impress their parents with music you've worked on with them for hours and hours are all part of becoming a guitar teacher for Create Music.
There are plenty of guitar-teaching companies out there, so why work for us?
● We offer salaried positions with permanent contracts, pensions, guaranteed hours, and opportunities for career progression.
● You'll be paid a market-leading package, enjoy a flexible working environment, and feel supported by excellent organisational systems.
● We have developed a detailed curriculum to teach students, from the day they first pick up the guitar, right through to elite-level performance material.
● You'll have access to specially recorded backing songs and lesson plans to help you take students through every step of the learning process, and you'll feel supported by the excellent teachers you'll work closely with, who will offer tips and training throughout your career.
● You'll work for a company determined to offer the best learning experience to as many students as possible. Create music is growing exponentially and aims to be the biggest provider of guitar and ukulele lessons in the UK.

● Starting salaries of £14,500-£21,000 (inclusive of performance bonuses) for positions between 20-30 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9.00am-6.30pm).
● Opportunities to progress to senior teaching roles with salaries up to £31,000.
● 13 weeks paid time off during school holidays
● £20 per hour for self-employed contractors
● Working hours and contracts to suit your availability
Who are you? – Guitar/Ukulele Teacher
● You'll have some experience teaching guitar, ideally in primary schools. However, we will still consider other relevant experiences if you have the right attitude and a relevant music grade, certifications, or degrees.
● You are committed, patient, and have good communication skills.
● You'll need a full driving licence, own transport, and willingness to travel to several schools in your area.
● You'll either be DBS checked or have a willingness to undergo this.
● Understanding the school environment and successful behaviour management strategies will be a plus but can be taught.
