To assist with our growth we are looking for hands on Guest Services Manager to lead our front of house team.
This is a vital hands on role with key responsibilities to include:
- To ensure the smooth running of the front office department (Guest Services)
- To offer a warm & friendly welcome and departure to all guests of the hotel
- To complete check ins & check outs, making sure check in & out procedures are adhered to along with all company procedures
- Allocate suitable rooms to achieve the most profitable outcome for the hotel and meet guest requirements
- To proactively engage with guests making sure every guest journey is positive and that their needs are met
- To ensure all charges are correctly entered onto guests bills and are up to date at all times
- Ensure the team accurately process all cash & credit card transactions using established procedures and audit end of day packs, to meet company standards
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with emails to company standard
- Make reservations for bedrooms and meetings/events that are bespoke to the guest, maximizing revenue through suggestive selling and good revenue management principles
- Prepare and serve meals from our All day dining menu
- Train and & develop a winning front office team
- Engage and support other departments, to ensure guests have a seamless and positive experience
- Be a duty manager on shift, and complete all related procedures, to include H&S checks and shift banking
Key Requirements:
- Ideally 2 years experience in a hotel
- Experience of using Rez Controll would be an advantage
- A proven track record in managing a small team
- Hands on and able to work shifts, including early starts, finishing late weekends and nights cover.
