Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of GSAT Scheduler/ Natural Gas (NG) located in London, UK through June 25, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Overview:
Reporting to the GSAT Operations Manager, the Nat Gas Scheduler will perform the operations function in the UK and Europe to assist with the marketing of trade equity supply, plus 3rd party pipeline supply and LNG import in UK and Continental Europe.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Manage shipping accounts with the National Grid in compliance with the Network Code
Balance gas supply and demand in the UK and Continental European transmission systems in accordance with current trading strategy and terms of the transportation codes
Manage gas balances and entry capacity to ensure avoidance of commodity and capacity penalties
Review daily GMSL handover and ensure that final Gemini position entered correctly into Endur
Ensure that all GMSL activity (trading, capacity purchase, location swaps, etc) are entered into Endur correctly
Execute commodity and capacity transactions via OTC and web based commodity markets across northern Europe to ensure requirements met
Provide Daily and Weekly analysis reporting to support trading activities, participate in global intelligence call and share knowledge across GSAT
Effective communications with Upstream, System and Pipeline operators across Europe
Understand regulatory regime governing European gas balancing and ensure compliance with current rules of operation
Ensure that all necessary trades and deliveries are reported to CVA and act as Front office contact for cash call requests from National Grid
Perform retro trading function on a monthly basis to reduce exposure to cost
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors (or equivalent) in a business related field
Knowledge of the European natural gas markets with experience of working across many disciplines (gas scheduling, demand supply optimization, regulatory affairs)
A great attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
A flexible approach to working hours is vital to accommodate the significant variation in workloads associated with a busy operations
