Goldman Sachs ETF Accelerator is a new digital platform that enables our institutional clients to quickly and efficiently launch, list, and manage their ETFs. We’ve designed our technology to scale and to provide our ETF infrastructure as a service to our clients, allowing them to focus their time and resources where it matters most – generating alpha and raising assets. We are a global team of ETF specialists, software engineers and product managers with an entrepreneurial spirit who are passionate about solving problems and providing innovative solutions for our clients.
The Role
As the European Capital Markets expert, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships across the ETF ecosystem. This will involve monitoring bid/ask spreads, soliciting seed capital, and generally overseeing the integrity of the markets for the ETFs we service.
The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with portfolio managers and product managers, to help bring the best digital experience to our clients. In the early stages, you will also be pulled into different projects across the business, and should be able to thrive in an ever-changing environment. We are building a new business within Goldman Sachs, and are in search of candidates who are excited about joining us on that journey.
Responsibilities Include
- Represent ETF Accelerator and develop relationships with various players in the ETF ecosystem: APs, market makers, exchanges, platforms, and other internal stakeholders
- Monitor and ensure efficient trading of our clients’ ETFs in all countries and exchanges where the funds are listed
- Liaise with market makers and Portfolio Implementation specialists to facilitate the creation/redemption process
- Collaborate with clients and trading partners on product ideas and implementation feasibility
- Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports for senior management: average bid/ask spreads, premium/discounts, fund flows
- Work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic team working environment
- Develop and maintain ETF educational content for client use, and support clients new to the ETF space in the development of their businesses
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years minimum of work experience in the Financial Services industry
- Fluent in the nuances of trading ETFs, spanning asset classes
- Working knowledge of market structure in Europe
- Proficient in Excel, Bloomberg
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight, yet high collaboration ability and openness
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of ETF products and markets in EMEA
- Working knowledge of UCITs structure and its advantages for investors
- Writing and editorial skills, combined with communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, and propose new ideas/methods for improving on industry standards
