Front and Back Manager

Reporting to the Director of MRG Events, The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for all aspects of food & beverage requirements for upcoming events.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee F&B operations of the festival Site and Artist Hospitality to include but not limited to:
- Oversee and implement all bar management needs for each event, including all licensed areas and VIP areas etc.
- Oversee all Special Event Permit requirements onsite, ensure documentation is prepared and kept at all bars
- Execute all ordering of beer, wine, coolers, water, pop, ice, etc. within budget parameters.
- Manage inventory of licensed areas onsite during the event, distribute product as needed.
- Oversee and implement set-up/strike of all bar/licensed area needs site wide (tents, tables and chairs, hand wash stations, power needs, Squares, Bar tubs, tools etc.)
- Evaluate and implement all staffing needs pre show, day of show and strike day(s)including scheduling, job descriptions etc.
- Work with team to order Ice and other necessary supplies for bars to run smoothly
- Prepare Square POS and manage reconciliation of all bar related sales / costs
- Post event inventory of bar stock
- Manage any liquor product returns to BCL
- Coordinate trucking activities for all liquor pickups
- Oversee the truck pack for bar products, and the tear down post event
- Order supplies as required, manage all deliveries, time-lines, schedules etc.
- Negotiate in-kind donations when possible
- Oversee and do the hospitality shop for all onsite requirements
- Liaise with all site personnel and supervisors
- Ensure that all Health & Safety measures are followed with all staff & crew at barlocations
- Liaise with Health Authority to ensure licensed areas are properly permitted
- Support in scheduling bar staff for eventsQualifications:
- 3-5 years of management experience in large scale events or hospitality management
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Google (mail, sheets, docs).
- Square POS knowledge is an asset
- Must be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with local vendors supporting concert or exhibit events is an asset
Experience
- Experience of working in cross-departmental teams or structures to deliver projects, in large scale festivals and events.
- Experience working with artists, managers, agents, suppliers, volunteers etc.
- Experience with spreadsheet development and implementation
- Working within set budgets;Skills and abilities

Reports to: Director, MRG Events
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Salary: $30.00 per hour
