Trelleborg Polyurethane Products provides innovative polymer-based solutions for key industries within the Defense, Rail and Industry sectors. We are a standalone product area positioned within one of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, who have a total of around 21,200 employees around the world.

We are seeking a Product Group Leader to join our Production Team at our Retford, UK site. Production is responsible for delivering daily production activities within individual manufacturing cells on the production floor. You will support the production activities, contributing to meeting customer needs and achieving standards related to safety, quality, efficiency, cost and timely delivery. Summary of the Role:

As the Product Group Leader, you will be responsible for the checking, releasing and monitoring of all documentation related to Production operations, including all transactions within the ERP system (M3) to ensure all departmental needs are met.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate and approved information / data is used to create all required production documentation as well as any revisions to documentation.
  • Providing routine production information / data to the Product Group Manager.
  • Maintaining communications between Production & Sales departments, including communicating with customers and distributors on a regular basis.
  • Crosscheck the sales orders within M3 daily & correct / challenge any unclear data.
  • Review works orders within M3, alongside the PGM daily & plan into production schedule.
  • Distribute works orders (MO’s), updating production schedules daily.
  • Transact MO’s – invoices and shipping documents every day.
  • Scheduling delivery dates based on knowledge of production schedules, collaborating closely with production staff and Sales.
  • Arrange couriers for Despatch and label creation for shipping documents, delivering external communication with customers.
  • Ensure shipment information is complete and accurate to assist Despatch, ensuring all Export Regulations are adhered to.
  • Participate in monthly stock takes, ensuring preparation work is carried out daily and any corrections highlighted and actioned.
  • Report and transact any scrap/waste daily.
  • Support PGM with 5’s and any activities highlighted.
  • When required, maintain the item master and update production structure /labour (BOMs).
  • Communicate any purchasing requirements and any delivery issues in a timely manner, using accurate paperwork.
  • Deputise for the Product Group Manager in their absence. By way of man and area management when required.

Competencies:

The position calls for an individual who has experience in an administrative / planning role, preferably within an Operational / Manufacturing environment. Strong IT skills, with working experience in ERP systems and Microsoft packages. An understanding of export / shipping would be advantageous. You must also be able to demonstrate confident communication and previous experience of directing a team.
