About us
Virgin Balloon Flights operates flights in and around the midlands area. We are based in Tibshelf, Derbyshire and our flights cover the Peak District area as well as Sheffield and Doncaster. We are professional, fun, rewarding, and our goal is to provide our passengers with an enjoyable and seamless experience both on the ground and up in skies as they travel on their hot air balloon flight experience.

We are looking for a ground crew team member that will work by predominantly driving our passenger vehicle to the launch sites, greeting passengers and helping assembly of the hot air balloon. Once in the air, following the balloon whilst it is in flight, helping pack up and taking our passengers from our landing location back to the launch site.
Back at base, the candidate will assure the vehicles are well-maintained and clean ready for the next adventure. The successful candidate for this position must have passed their driving test before 1997 or hold a D1 on thier licence and be confident and comfortable driving a long wheel based van. They will possess the necessary skills and tools to think on their feet, be a well rounded communicator and have the freindliness and charm to make our passengers feel at ease before they take to the skies.
Typical shifts will be early morning, starting a few hours before sunrise, and late evenings. Shifts usually last between 4-6hours and are ad hoc with the weather.
Must have:
- D1 driving licence, anyone who passed prior to 1997 will have this.
- Be a confident and experienced driver.
