Responsibilities:
Carrying out daily checks of club aircraft fluid levels, along with an individual check on aircraft for water contamination from all fuel sample points.
Daily checks of fuel quantity and quality in the pumps and storage tanks.
Efficient and safe refuelling of aircraft.
Supervision and marshalling of aircraft on the apron to ensure safety is maintained.
Extraction and stacking of aircraft in and out of hangars.
Daily testing of communication radios, firefighting appliances, and checking runway conditions prior to the commencement of daily flying activity.
Maintain close links and strong communication with Accountable Manager and The Flight Desk ensuring appropriate information is passed on and communicated to all levels to ensure an efficient and safe process of work.
Reporting any H&S issues to the Airfield Supervisor and/or the Accountable Manager.
Ensure that all Ground staff equipment is maintained satisfactorily at all times by reporting any problems or defects to the Airfield Supervisor and/or the Accountable Manager.
Undertake all such duties and take on any other responsibilities as determined by the Management that are commensurate with the nature of the post.
Maintain accurate records of daily airfield documents.
Attend Fire and Rescue and First Aid courses.
Provide Fire and Rescue cover to a Special Category. (all training given)
Undertake in the general maintenance and DIY.
Undertake in the cleaning of club aircraft
