The Grocery Manager serves as the liaison between the stock team members and Retail management. The Grocery Manager will delegate responsibilities and assist with interviewing, hiring and training. Reports to the Dry Market Manager;
- Oversees the operation of Grocery and Housewares departments
- Manages stock levels and product purchases under the umbrella of Eataly’s buying program
- Places orders from the Warehouse and local vendors
- Ensure accuracy of all incoming Grocery Deliveries
- Maintains up-to-date accuracy on E-commerce catalogues and assists with product selection and planograms
- Creates dynamic in-store promotions and executes product selection for flyers/sales etc.
- Supervises and motivates the team to increase sales and work efficiency
- Assists with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations and payroll
- Works closely with Marketing/Graphics team to ensure signage and communication are precise
- Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Demonstrated ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a grocery or retail stock position required
- 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Food Handler’s License preferred

- Ability to effectively communicate with upper management, staff and guests
