Job description

Building upon our award-winning restoration activities, this project will scale improvements to ecological status, and increase resilience of precious fringe saltmarsh habitat, in multiple Scottish estuaries. The project will utilise the current momentum in Scotland for developing best practice in nature-building solutions to increase the resilience of low-lying shorelines to coastal flooding and erosion.
This transformation will be accompanied with community engagement and practical conservation activities to help local communities feel connected to estuaries and to understand the value of maintaining these habitats. The role holder will manage the practical conservation work programme for the project, design and undertake a variety of fieldwork initiatives, and be responsible for routine data collection and monitoring of the restored sites.
