We have a great opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Independent Living function at James Bagnall Foyer. This is a great opportunity for people-focused individuals who are passionate about making a difference within their local community.
As a Support Worker you will be a crucial part of the front-line team in our services. You will be providing support and advice to young, vulnerable people facing homelessness and helping them on the path to living independently. James Bagnall Foyer is home to low to medium needs individuals who may have previously faced challenging circumstances or have experienced trauma.
You will be supported by a close-knit team and full training will be provided for the role.
Shift patterns for this role will rotate between 07:00am - 6:00pm & 10:00am - 09:00pm with some weekend work included.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice and support to vulnerable individuals facing homelessness.
- Provide support to tenants around accessing health services and employment.
- Produce support plans and conduct regular meetings with tenants to ensure they stay on track.
- Engage with homeless services and liaise with the Intensive-Housing Management team when necessary.
- Update Tenant information on the in-house IT system
Our ideal candidate? You will be a customer-focused individual who is passionate about making a positive difference for vulnerable individuals. You will be compassionate with strong communication skills, allowing you to work effectively in a team environment. Former experience dealing with issues around homelessness is also preferable.
