Are you a graduate or current student of the University of Cumbria who would like to gain valuable work experience through an internship with a local company?
You will be employed by the University, but work with Luxury in the Lakes Ltd, to provide graphic design to highlight their mission to reduce carbon footprint and support a transition to zero carbon.
You will be innovative in creating an illustrative mode that promotes Luxury in the Lake's Ltd carbon-saving measures which informs and educates their customers and clients.
You will be proactive, logical and self-motivated with the ability to undertake desk-based research and present results. You will also have strong research and communication skills and an interest in supporting the transition to net zero carbon along with experience of carbon accounting.
The post is part time for a total of up to 140 hours and the overall project is to be completed June 2023. This is a flexible working opportunity, which can fit around student studies and work/home life commitments.
This role will involve remote working with occasional/potential travel to Carlisle and Grasmere for meetings – COVID-19 restrictions may apply.
Reasonable travel expenses will be paid and there is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to apply to the University of Cumbria’s Bright Futures fund for a travel bursary to help with travel expenses if required (£100 allowance available).
