Coming onto our 17th year of business, Star Print continue to be the dominant players in the market - providing quality print and marketing services to their loyal client base throughout the north-west.
Due to continued growth we need another graphic designer to join our team
You will be responsible for creating the visual elements of printed materials, such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and more. You will be required to work closely with clients to understand their needs and design a solution that meets those needs in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Must have strong visual sensibilities and creativity to succeed in this field. You must be able to effectively communicate ideas to other members of their team—this might include graphic designers, web designers, copywriters, etc.—to ensure that everyone is on the same page about how a project should look and feel.
As a print designer your range of responsibilities include:
- Developing concepts for advertisements, brochures, flyers, magazines, newspapers, packaging, billboards, websites, etc.
- Reviewing client objectives and recommending design strategies to meet business goals while maintaining brand identity
- Consulting with clients to determine their needs and preferences regarding color, layout, and typography
- Creating layouts using computer programs such as Corel Draw (Illustrator users must be willing to revert to this package)
- Providing clients with proofs of their designs to get feedback before finalizing a design
- Conducting market research to identify target audiences and consumer needs
- Designing graphics for a variety of purposes such as product labels, posters, business cards, or websites
- Creating visual concepts for print ads and other marketing materials
- Managing the printing process from concept to completion using computerized systems to create digital files of designs
